A resident of the city of Aktobe felt the first signs of the disease in 2019. Then there were complaints of pain in the area of the right lower limb. According to the patient, she had been taking conservative treatment and physical therapy for a long time, but the pain did not subside. Then the woman decided to go to Uzbekistan for treatment, unfortunately, treatment in Uzbekistan did not bring the desired results. About a year ago, the condition worsened, the woman stopped moving independently, weakness in the lower limbs and convulsions appeared. Doctors prescribed an MRI examination of the brain, where they found a formation in the patient's left parietal region measuring 7 * 7.5 cm. The woman turned to doctors at the National Center for Neurosurgery for advisory help, she was recommended surgical treatment. At the time of admission to the National Center for Neurosurgery, the patient moved only in a wheelchair. Doctors of the Department of Neurosurgery of Brain Pathology performed a microsurgical operation to remove the tumor. The woman underwent the operation within the framework of the compulsory medical insurance. Doctors note that the complexity of the operation was that the tumor was gigantic in size and bordered on the motor centers. During the operation, a neuronavigation system was used, which allowed the patient to be protected from possible risks. Today, the patient is happy with the result and notes great relief and good health.

"I came to this Center with great hope that they would help me here. And so it happened. Praise be to the Almighty, I am immensely grateful to the doctors and staff of this Center. From the first days after the operation, I have not been bothered by pain in my legs, I was able to move my toes on my own. I am happy that I was not paralyzed and can walk again, that everything is fine with me. I can get up on my own, I can already walk around the ward on my own, when before the operation I could not go anywhere or get up without outside help. I am glad that such a Center exists, that only professionals and simply responsive, humane people work here. On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to express my gratitude and best wishes to everyone who took part in my treatment. All my treatment here was on a quota basis, free of charge. Apart from the cost of tickets to Astana, I did not spend anything," the patient shared.

The operation was performed by doctors with many years of experience: Head of the Department of Neurosurgery of Brain Pathology, PhD, Professor of JSC "NCN" Nurzhan Ryskeldiev and neurosurgeon Muratbek Tleubergenov, as well as anesthesiologist-resuscitator Raushan Tokshekenova.
