Professor Erbol Makhambetov conducted a master class in the Abay region

During the period from April 04-05, 2024, the Head of the Department of Vascular and Functional Neurosurgery of the National Center for Neurosurgery, Professor Erbol Makhambetov, within the framework of the program of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC National Center for Neurosurgery to provide consultative, diagnostic, practical assistance to the population and organizational and methodological assistance conducted a master class in the Abay region. The master class was held on the basis of the Emergency Medical Care Hospital in Semey city.

   As part of the master class, Dr. Erbol Makhambetov, together with colleagues from the Semey Emergency Hospital, performed an operation to excise an arteriovenous malformation of the brain of a 42-year-old resident of the Abay region. The operation was successful, the patient, after a long operation, recovered from anesthesia and is preparing to be transferred to the ward.

   Also during the trip, free face-to-face consultations were held on issues of neurosurgical pathology, vascular and functional diseases, a round of patients in the department and presented information about the highly specialized neurosurgical care provided at the National Center for Neurosurgery.
